Mr. Heaney received his undergraduate degree with a major in accounting from Merrimack College and a Masters of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky. While at the University of Kentucky he passed the CPA exam. Jack worked for three years at Arthur Young and Company in Boston where he was on the audit staff.
After leaving Arthur Young and Company, he worked for several years for two Real Estate Investment Trusts starting as a general accountant and becoming the CFO. Both to these companies were public ally traded and he was responsible for filing Annual and Quarterly reports with the SEC. He was also involved in the initial and secondary public offerings which raised approximately $50,000,000 of equity.
While associated with the second of these companies he was introduced to the Lakes Region when the company made a mortgage loan in South Down Shores. Mr. Heaney purchased a condominium in 1985 from the developer and has been coming to this area ever since.
In 1998 Mr. Heaney became interested in Financial Planning and has work in that area as well as tax preparation for the last several years. In September 2002 Mr. Heaney and his wife moved to Laconia on a full time basis and began work with DSB & Company in November 2002. Mr. Heaney has two children. His son graduated from college in 2002 and is teaching in Framingham MA and his daughter attends Trinity College in Hartford, CT, class of 2005.
Mr. Heaney's wife works as a visiting nurse in Meredith. They
both enjoy skiing and boating on the lake.
